Update (12/10/09): Okay, so my novel has been taking over my life for the past bit, which has been great in many ways, but I have been neglecting my blog :(. This blog really allows me to just do short, quick projects and lets me play around in different genres and tones and narratives. I miss it. SO, starting today, I’m going to pledge to write one piece every THREE DAYS. One a day was too much of a chore and my schedule didn’t always allow it and I think one a week would be too rare for my experiments in short, short fiction to really benefit me. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my work and feel free to leave comments of any kind!
Hi, my name is Kaston Griffin and if you purposefully stumbled across this page I am incredibly grateful for your interest. Unfortunately, there isn’t much to say. I love writing and have recently been far too apathetic about it–even my novel has only seen progress in spurts. Basically, this blog exists to encourage me to write daily if I can. Most often I choose to write based on a random one-word prompt. I either ask someone for one word if there happens to be someone with me, or I pick a page number (it was 125 today) as well as another random number under 20 (it was 5 today) and use the 5th word on the 125 page of the first book I see as a prompt. Of course, anyone could tell I don’t write in this blog daily, but I try. And who knows, maybe I’ll be writing daily from this point on. Thank you for reading my work and don’t be shy about comments. I’d love to know what you think about these tiny fictions :). And while it’s still appropriate, Merry Christmas!
